The best references for our village come from our residents themselves, and their friends and family.
“I wanted to pass on to you how wonderful mum is looking. This is the best move we could have made for her.”

“Our father is 96 and moved into Rawhiti Estate around 6 months ago. We would just like to make a few personal observations about Rawhiti and the care that our father has received since he moved there. Firstly, the staff there are great, helpful, friendly and always with a smile, nothing is too much of a problem. The management are always striving to introduce new initiatives and continually discuss these with residents and their families looking for constructive input into improving the daily life of its residents.
The medical care our father receives is of a high standard and we are kept well informed of our father’s ongoing wellbeing. Family members are welcome to visit at any time of the day. We have found the meals and menu options to be healthy, varied and well presented.
Entertainment and the personal involvement of the residents in daily activities is a prime drive of Rawhiti – as well as weekly outings, exercise sessions, games, cooking classes etc, the organising of interactive onsite visits by school children and other youth groups is much appreciated by the residents, visitors and the children who attend.
We are happy to recommend Rawhiti and have already done so to a number of our friends.”

“Watching mum fade into a shadow of the dynamic woman she once was has been a heartbreaking experience for our family and one that we battle to come to terms with. She is always on our mind and while we can’t be with her every day to meet her constant need for care and supervision, we have total peace of mind with the attention and empathy shown by the team at Rawhiti Estate.
I’m always struck by the genuine kindness and understanding from a team of caregivers who have experience with residents in dementia. I did my research before deciding on Rawhiti and the facilities and the personnel are in a league of their own and I am entirely satisfied, not only with the quality of the 24/7 care of mum, but also the consideration of the emotional needs of our family as we learn to accept mum’s life altering condition.”
– Deborah Pead, daughter of resident
“As a family we looked at a number of places before choosing Rawhiti. And there have been no regrets. It has been the very best decision we have made for the ongoing care and welfare of our loved family member.
From the very first day, Rawhiti has delivered, not just to Brett who is living there, but to us all as a family. It has been a huge change in our lives, however, it feels like a home for us all, not a hospital, and not a rest home. I am able to visit twice a day to spend quality time with Brett in a warm, inviting, and inclusive home. A very special place.”
